About the Role:
A leading provider of specialized products and services to organizations operating in critically clean environments is seeking an Inventory Team Lead to support its MRO operations. This role is essential in overseeing daily workflows, driving team performance, and ensuring operational objectives are met. The individual in this position will help strengthen team engagement, promote continuous improvement, and uphold the company's strong commitment to safety, quality, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain productive, long-term relationships with client contacts.
- Address customer questions and requests through phone calls, email correspondence, and in-person discussions.
- Uphold exceptional customer service standards in every interaction.
- Partner closely with internal teams and outside vendors to process orders, resolve issues, and communicate relevant updates.
- Perform administrative and operational duties including order entry, inventory record updates, and generation of system-based reports.
- Create and share analytical reporting with clients when required.
- Support cycle counts and assist in managing inventory across multiple storage or warehouse locations.
- Track shipments as they arrive and ensure deliveries reach the correct destination on schedule.
- Provide stakeholders with accurate information regarding lead times, order progress, and any changes.
- File, manage, and store delivery paperwork and related documentation within the organization's ERP platform.
- Contribute to production activities such as assembly, packaging, or the handling of specialized or custom-built items.
- Recognize patterns or repeat issues affecting service consistency or inventory precision and escalate them appropriately.
- Build a strong understanding of product offerings and how they are utilized within the customer's operational setting.
- Qualifications:
- Experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or customer service functions required.
- Demonstrated dedication to delivering high-quality support to clients.
- Ability to understand customer needs and recommend suitable solutions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Professional, clear, and confident communicator.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with multiple tasks competing for attention.
- Positive and adaptable attitude with a focus on finding solutions.
- Capable of identifying potential issues and contributing to preventative improvements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with ERP, WMS, or similar inventory/order management systems; exposure to platforms like SAP or Maximo is beneficial.
- Familiarity with handling technical parts, components, or related materials is an advantage.
